South San Francisco - One Free House

The City of South San Francisco is seeking to give away a beautiful, historic duplex home - replete with a white picket fence – located at 323 Miller Avenue. The home is currently located on the site where a new parking structure will be built. Potential homeowners must be able to provide a plot of land for the home. The house used to be a single family home but was turned into two one-bedroom units. The future home-owner may turn the residence back into a two bedroom if they wish. Units feature hardwood floors and bay windows. This opportunity would be a terrific investment property or family home.

The city is willing to move the house within a reasonable distance and pay for a foundation. Open house events will be held on June 27th from 5:30 to 7:30 and June 28th from 11-1. Applications will be available at the open house and are posted on the City of South San Francisco Housing and Community Development website. For additional details, please call 650-829-6620.

Minimum Requirements: The smallest lot size would be 5,000 square feet. The front setback needs to be 15 feet, sides need to be 5 feet and rear needs to be 20 feet. If it’s a corner lot, then the side setback is 10 feet.
